Lord how I wish that people

Could see you THROUGH MY EYES.

To know that with each new day

You're the reason that I rise.

 

I'm just a common person.

Only one among the many.

Still I've always felt protected

During hard times, which were plenty.

 

I just can't seem to find the words.

The feelings are so strong.

I struggle to express myself.

The words still come out wrong.

 

Just look around, I want to say.

Can't you feel His presence here?

Some folks look, but cannot see,

What to me is clear.

 

Lots of people feel this way.

This I fully realize.

Still I wish the entire world

Could see you THROUGH MY EYES.
